Michaela began her athletics career at the age of 13, quickly realising she had a talent and passion for weightlifting. Now as one of the UK’s top female weightlifters, Michaela’s hard work and commitment are paying off as she successfully competes at the highest level in her sport.
Michaela’s 2006 gold medal winning performance at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games earned her recognition as a contender for the 2006 Welsh BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
Her future goals are to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and successfully defending her Commonwealth Games titles in 2010.
Michaela says “Training hard is key to my success – you’ve got to be extremely focused and dedicated to win and that’s what I am. As part of my training programme I realise how important my nutrition is. When you train for and compete in a sport such as weightlifting you are pushing your body to its limits. The EAS products I use support my recovery from training and help shape my performance in competition. And just as importantly I’m reassured by their stance on doping free sports nutrition, providing safe and effective products.”
