M.I. Racing was formed in 1997 by Mick Ives. Since then the team has won over 1,000 races, all over the UK and mainland Europe making it one of the UK's most successful cycling racing teams. The team of riders from across the UK has amassed some major titles including: 8 U.C.I. World Masters Cycling Championships, 8 Silver Medals in U.C.I World Cycling Championships, 2 European Cycling Championships and 37 British Cycling Championships.
The M.I. Racing team is 25 strong, with 23 veteran riders (aged 40 or over), proving that age is certainly no barrier to fitness, stamina and international sporting acclaim. The team takes part in every cycling discipline including: cyclo cross, road racing, mountain biking, track, time trials and triathlons. And it competes throughout the year, unlike many teams who only do so around six months of the year!
As well as training and competing for championship success, M.I. Racing is committed to encouraging novice riders into the sport.
Team founder Mick Ives is an ex-professional, having also been the Team Manager for Great Britain and National Coach. His blistering career has seen him win over 1200 races and he is still at the top of his game. Mick is the only rider to race Summer and Winter non stop for over 50 years! In 2005 powered by EAS, Mick rode the Tour de France route - solo - in 1 day less than the race itself, another first as no other rider has completed this task.
"The EAS Energy range definitely gives us the edge when training and competing. It provides a comprehensive solution to all our energy, endurance and recovery needs and the versatility of products to suit individual riders".
